i just realized that i am constantly drawn to taking pictures with silhouettes, and it took me forever to realize why.

i've decided that the darkness makes the light more dramatic, and therefore more important. and photography is all about light isn't it?

i plan on taking a photography course next semester, i am extremely excited, it will be the first time i get to work in a darkroom.

also, my new holga camera just arrived!!!! a new toy for lindsay to play with!

yesss! my portfolio is finally in. and i can breath again! I hear whether or not i get into my major in ten days. and with the end of my portfolio business came the close of my figure class. these little five week classes are fun, but just as i get used to them and start to not mind, they end. the four hour class of drawing models started to actually feel normal. and now i go back to the short class with digital photography! i have lots of volunteers for models and i love love love photography so that will be fun. at the end of the semester i am going to have a blast!

art school is fun, probably because i feel like i'm just playing. even though i have to take every assignment seriously, probably because when i go look for a job as a graphic designer or webpage designer or whatever i do, i don't think they'll ask me to make a carboard camera or umbrella. those were the things i did in highschool on my own time for myself. but yea i shouldn't be complaining when i actually look forward to doing my homework and think about what i can do for it all day.
